The best music plays in Llíria thanks to the concert “A Tres Bandes”

It was a day for history. The joining in Llíria of the Ateneu Musical de Cullera, under the direction of Ferrer Ferran, the Unió Musical de Llíria, directed by Pablo Marqués, and La Artística de Buñol, under the baton of Mario Ortuño, allowed to live an evening of great musical level in which it was shown that the Valencian bands are among the best in the world. Three ensembles joined on the same stage at the theatre of the Unió to offer a concert to remember.

This act officially closed the concert series “A tres bandes”, driven by the Asociación Musical Buñol-Cullera-Llíria, which includes the Primitiva de Llíria, Santa Cecilia de Cullera and the Armónica de Buñol. The event was attended by the mayors of their respective municipalities, that is Manolo Civera (Llíria), Juncal Carrascosa (Buñol) and Jordi Mayor (Cullera), who also is provincial deputy of Bands of Music.

This association, which brings together these six prestigious Valencian bands, was established in 2017, at which time a tour of six concerts in the three locations also began in Cullera. Its objective is to promote great musical activities, such as the young band of the association, made up by musicians under 25 from the six societies, which also toured the Netherlands in July 2017. They are already preparing new projects that enhance the great value of band music in the Valencian Community.

Just like Llíria, which has once again demonstrated its ability to generate great musical shows, such as the one held last night that is part ot the more than both national and international 170 events of various styles held annually in the town throughout its cultural fabric of associations. This is thus another fact that also makes the “Ciutat Valenciana de la Música” aspire to be recognized as Creative City of Music by Unesco.
